So saw the contest, thought up some ideas, but wasn't really enthused with my particular designs. Next, I went and saw the movie, and was thoroughly inspired by the creatures. I found that many of my designs shared similarities with those found in the movie, thus giving me the courage to follow through with a final picture. Lastly, I wanted to design something that wasn't a skull creature, since those seem abundant and I know I can't beat everyone else when it comes to thinking up cool things with skulls, so in the end I came up with this. The "Fisher King". Designed through items you can find either at home, or on a dock. It can manufacture bobbers, lures and other tackle into small spider bots which it then casts out to seek and retrieve. It can also use the large "Troller" hook to snag prey, or use to dismantle fixtures. It's lower half is created from the prow of a boat, thus it's feasible this bot is amphibious.
Nice work! You really seem to have captured the essence of the competition by using recognizable found objects pulled together in an original idea. Good luck!
i honestly think you'll win first prize for this..this is just amazing! The detail of the mechanics and objects used and overall concept is really something. The other entries will be narrowed down quickly because some are too dark and no detail on the objects used. NICE job again! i jus wished i cuda got mine in haha.
